Hope Valley 1 PM on with a Back Forty Bluegrass
concert and barbeque. Accompanying the Back
Forty will be the Ten Dollar Pony, Larry Nair and Beth Oliverto. Come and
enjoy a relaxing afternoon of wonderful music, great food and time to visit
with others that have an interest in preserving Hope Valley. The event is
hosted by Sorensen’s Resort in Hope Valley. Donation
of $10.00 is requested. No host barbeque.

Annual Ebbetts Pass Scenic Celebration, The centerpiece
of the celebration is a daylong
live music event in Hermit Valley. Visitors should
definitely make a weekend of it and spend
some time checking out the entire Scenic Byway from
Arnold to Markleeville.

tour groups departing every
15-20 minutes from the vacant lot below the Courthouse
(former Forest Service Guard Station
property).
Was that a hurdy-gurdy girl on Main Street? Yep, a dozen

costume) are returning to Markleeville to share tales
from Alpine's early days. Come meet
Judge Price, hotel owner John Ellis, a
"hurdy-gurdy" dancing girl, newspaperman R.M. Folger
and more in this fun-filled (history-filled) walking
tour of Markleeville! Tickets $5 (buy
ahead at the Museum, or purchase the day of the event).
